How to Refill Canon Ink Cartridge

Canon inkjet printer is too expensive to replace the cartridge. You can easily refill canon ink cartridge at home by inkjet printers ink. The inkjet printers ink is available on the market. By refilling the old canon ink cartridge at home you can save a significant amount of money.

Refilling Process

1.      Remove your old canon ink cartridge from your printer following the manufacturer instruction that has been given with printer. Turn off the lid of the printer to protect it from dust while you are refilling the inkjet cartridge.

2.      Remove the sticker from the top of the inkjet cartridge. Drill a hole for using a syringe properly. There has already been a small hole on the black inkjet cartridge and three holes on the color inkjet cartridge. Follow the hole to drill. Drill is needed for circulation of air flow within the ink tank while refilling.

3.      Use a single syringe for every single color to refill through the hole that is created. Though the black inkjet cartridge has a single hole you can easily refill it but for color inkjet cartridge it is problem to find out the actual hole for a color. For the canon ink cartridge the bottom-left hole is for blue, bottom-right for yellow and the top hole is for red color. See the photo.

4.      Place the sticker above the cartridge and put the refilled cartridge back into the printer. Clean the head of the cartridge by running the printer software.

Few Things to Remember

You should remember something to refill canon ink cartridge through inkjet printers ink -

1.      It should be refilled the cartridge before completely empty to avoid the color tank from drying.

2.      It should be avoid touching the cartridge head while refilling.
